Search, and the quality of what machines say

Eighteen years at Google — from the Translator Toolkit and Scribe, through Docs and Google Research, to owning Cloud Search and then leading Search quality for India. Most recently, launching AI Overviews in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi, and building the evaluations that tell you whether an answer is any good. Now consulting on AI trust and safety.

Public policy

How India is governed, and who pays for it

A postgraduate programme in public policy at Takshashila, completed with distinction in 2026. The writing since has gone wherever the questions led — money and elections, caste, the right to protest, domestic work and labour law, and yes, how the state handles technology. The through-line is not a subject but a suspicion: of rules that sound protective and land as barriers.
